An exemplary design section will create products that combine an elegant functionality with a understanding of what a potential customer is prepared to pay and its designs will balance the requirements of cost effectiveness and superior performance; however, in addition to generating a product that the market wants to buy, and at a price that it is prepared to pay, product design will be characterised by its thorough attention to detail, by its subsequent stability, by its manufacturability and by the ease with which its components can be processed easily throughout the organisation.
